PARALLAX

In "Origins," we see the tension between the precision of a digital file and the unpredictability of the medium through which it travels. Verdandi takes a visual work of art in its original file format and places it within a live digital stream, capturing the dynamic nature of the digital medium.

This process creates what she calls a "digital patina" or "verdigris," where the file is exposed to the moving medium, altering the very fabric of the artwork. Each piece in this collection captures the evolving digital landscape as it exists in 2024, imprinting its imperfections onto the precise chaos painted by the artist. This unique collaboration between Verdandi and the medium produces truly original, authentically digital works of art.

This form of glitch, or organic digital art, separates the file from its medium and exposes them to each other, creating something fundamentally new. "Origins" transcends code, emerging directly from the digital continuum itself.
